About the photographer
For nearly 30 years, Ron Hudson, who is also a drummer, has
photographed nearly every major jazz artist in performance at
numerous jazz festivals in the U.S. and abroad, from Monterey
to Montreux.
Hudson's jazz images have appeared in newspapers, magazines,
art galleries, and in private collections. His work is featured
in "Monterey Jazz Festival: Forty Legendary Years" (with
foreword by Clint Eastwood), and "A Paradise Called Pebble
Beach" by Ray March. His work also appears in Seattle at
Dimitriou's Jazz Alley.
Mr. Hudson is currently working on a book of legendary jazz
encounters with writer Rick Carroll.
